we did a performance for recovering addicts and cancer survivors last night at some kind of convention, which was neat

i have a really weak singing voice though, i should

when we went to go see david sedaris we took my grandpa and grandma and my grandpa was just disgusted, he wa s like, ‘he just made all that stuff up to be funny’

and we were like, no grandpa, he’s like… a writer. and people do that all the time, it’s how you explain the story that makes it funny. all that stuff actually happens to him but he has a really funny way of narrating it

he just kept being bothered by it for some reason, he’s like, ‘anyone can say, hey i have to check the mirror to make sure my nipples are straight’

and he just sat there like this :l , while my grandma was laughing at everything

yeah man it is hARD WORK dealing with a canoe. especially traditional wood canoes, those things can be super long and heavy. luckily the one our canoe family has isn’t that big. compared to like, the one my grandpa won last canoe journey which is like, 44 feet long. we had a heck of a time just finding a trailer that would fit it.

but our belief is that the canoe is alive and a part of our family so we have to have only good thoughts while dealing with it and treat it with respect, so even though before i go out and pull and i’ m thinking AUGHHHH NOOO
